The Stores team builds the first-party commerce ecosystem for Meta's AR/VR products. Our customer-facing channels and surfaces include, physical retail, third-party marketplace partnerships, and more. We build differentiated features and experiences that set our first-party sales channels apart, grow our business by entering new marketplaces, and design experiences that excite and inform. We're on the lookout for a Product Designer with an ability to execute high-level visual design and creative product direction for our first-party Reality Labs sales channels. This person will take a lead role in designing compelling and novel experiences that drive customer engagement, sales, and excitement for our Reality Labs offerings. Collaborating closely with our RL business partners, this designer will provide strategic design direction to help achieve our ambitious commerce goals. This role would be a great fit for someone who's passionate about leadership through design, high-visibility products, and creating cutting-edge experiences that represent the next generation of the internet. Product Designers at Meta play a central role in the way we build products, ensuring our products and features are valuable for people, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. Product Designer - Stores Responsibilities
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into unique, highly-visual, and useful experiences for millions of customers
  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
  • Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of multiple products from conception to launch
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in product design
  • Experience building and shipping applications and large-scale software products that encompass an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms
  • High-level visual design proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and a very strong aesthetic sense
  • Experience using appropriate animation and prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
  • Experience defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs and how the product will scale
  • Strategic product thinking ability and the experience to develop product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to both people and the company
  • Ability to clearly and articulately represent design work to a broader product team and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing for various groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.)
