The Global Response Operations organization within Global Operations responds to real-time crises, proactively identifies and evaluates emerging risks, conducts risk-related investigations, and assesses what we could be doing to best benefit our community. By understanding and consistently managing incidents and real-time crises to resolution, the organization drives continuous improvement with our partners across Meta. The Detection team within Global Response Operations is focused on detecting emerging on-platform risks that pose harm to our community and businesses on our platform. We identify, investigate and understand those risks. We partner closely with other Global Response Operations teams, Policy, Product and Process teams to mitigate those risks. We are looking for someone who has a passion for identifying risks and diving deep to understand where and how these are manifesting on our platforms. This individual has a demonstrated ability to leverage large data sets and advanced tooling to both detect emerging risks and investigate them. The successful candidate will have strong analytical & investigative skills and should be comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation. This is a full time in office role based in Singapore.
Global Risk Operations - Detection Specialist (Singapore) Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of innovative risk detection strategies leveraging novel technologies and processes
  • Drive the roll out and adoption of technical solutions that improve the risk detection capabilities (effectiveness & efficiency) across a global team
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to translate operational workflows in to clear tooling and data needs
  • Scope & develop signals to detect key content risks
  • Identify emerging risk trends through the monitoring and analysis of on-platform and off-platform signals
  • Conduct content and actor behaviour investigations to detect Community Standards violations and develop a deeper understanding of emerging trends across community, ads and/or commerce
  • Partner with internal experts to build a deep understanding of how, where, and why diverse forms of risk manifest across Meta platforms
  • Work cross-functionally to drive mitigation for identified risks, including conducting enforcement on violating trends
  • Synthesize complex datasets and investigative findings into clear and succinct wrtitten and verbal communications
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in investigations, data analytics or technical systems roles in Trust & Safety or Risk Operations
  • Excellent data skills - SQL & Phyton proficiency required
  • Comfortable working with complex datasets with an aptitude for risk identification and analysis
  • Experience partnering with technical (product and/or data) teams
  • Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
  • Experience communicating results of technical analyses with technical and non-technical partners
  • Knowledge of global current events, including developments in law, politics, technology and culture
  • Comfortable working with potentially graphic and objectionable content
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the application of LLM and GENAI technologies
  • Experience in actor behavior, regulatory or eCommerce investigations
  • Proficiency in a second language (not essential)
