Meta is looking for an Analytics Manager on the Business Planning and Operations (BP&O) team to support our Business Messaging go-to-market teams. The mission of our Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization through analytics, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth while supporting the operational cadence to surface business insights. We provide business critical insights to maintain and improve day-to-day operations, definitively explain business trends, and evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. The mission of Business Messaging is to be the primary way that people and businesses communicate. This role is an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of a high growth business within Meta. We are seeking an Analytics Manager to lead a team of analysts while providing end-to-end analytical support for BMG sales and partnerships teams across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. The ideal candidate will possess a very fine balance of strong project management, technical, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills who can partner effectively with leadership across our Business Messaging Group (BMG) and will work cross-functionally with several teams at Meta. You can move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects and a structured thinker who also loves the details. You’re as comfortable solving conceptual problems and creating frameworks to refine a team’s thinking as you are getting into the weeds to understand the details of how things work. You can move seamlessly between conversing with data engineers, product marketers and leading presentations with sales leaders. You have a proven ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and supporting stakeholders; this is a highly cross-functional role, so high collaboration is essential. You must be able to roll-up your sleeves and be passionate about your work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You’ll drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Additionally, this leader must be passionate about Business Messaging and be an inspiring leader/manager who can quickly build relationships with people, cross-functional partners, teammates, and stakeholders alike.
Analytics Manager, Business Messaging Responsibilities
  • Enable their Partnerships stakeholder team to forecast, set goal targets, report on and monitor the success of efforts with key third party partners and end clients/end users
  • Determine key performance indicators using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market) to derive insights that will drive business decisions, partner segmentation, and partner programs
  • Lead deep dive analyses on drivers of key metrics and impact of programs run by their Partnerships team stakeholders
  • Own special analytics initiatives in coordination with key stakeholders and cross functional partners to answer tough business questions and drive business performance
  • Build reporting and analytics tools, visualizations, and dashboards to allow Partnerships teams to self-serve to key metrics and data, potentially in conjunction with Salesforce infrastructure for some teams
  • Communicate findings and the “so what” of data analyses to stakeholder VPs and Directors
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience working in an analytical capacity developing insights, defining metrics, and making business recommendations
  • Advanced SQL experience (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, etc.) or relational database experience (Oracle, MySQL)
  • Experience using data access tools and building visualizations using large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, forecasting, data analysis, and experience seeing beyond numbers to drive sound decision-making from complex datasets
  • Stakeholder management experience – including managing multiple cross-functional partners simultaneously
  • Presentation and communications experience, including extracting insights from technical data sets to varied audiences and senior management
  • Project management experience, including establishing a project vision and shipping through execution and coordination with cross-functional partners
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with packages such as Python, R, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience managing analysts
  • Experience with sales processes and functions
