Data Center Knowledge Management Content Curator

The Content Curator will work to develop the processes within the Knowledge Management (KM) Framework to support content curation, review and maintenance. The Content Curator will facilitate effective sharing of knowledge across Site Operations. The Content Curator is accountable to collaborate with knowledge champions to share their tacit knowledge and curated content critical to the success of Site Operations and other organizations where applicable. They will work to transform information into explicit knowledge that can be effectively shared across the associated KM tooling solution. The Content Curator will manage content through the information lifecycle and aid in continuous improvement relating to the quality of information.
Data Center Knowledge Management Content Curator Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain knowledge processes and information including categories, folksonomies, and related structures to improve findability and usability of knowledge
  • Identify new knowledge areas and update the knowledge categories to reflect findings
  • Work with KM specialist and other subject matter experts to document knowledge and expand KM content
  • Develop strategies and processes to manage knowledge across the lifecycle including identifying duplicates, retiring stale knowledge, optimizing workflows, enriching and promoting frequently used knowledge, while enhancing underrepresented knowledge assets
  • Work with SiteOps and support teams to ensure quality, discoverability, and accuracy of content
  • Support and drive the collection of implicit and tacit knowledge by using standard processes to develop explicit knowledge by integration within complex projects across the Site Operations organization
  • Parse multiple sources of information and consolidate into concise summaries tailored for diverse audiences by identifying and flagging as premier content for promotion and use
  • Organize content expert groups to own, curate, and maintain content for their domain
  • Analyze content contribution frequency, content usage, identify key contributors, and address adoption issues and gaps
  • Align KM information and curation processes with broader Organizational Learning taxonomy
  • Proactively communicate with engineering, product, support teams, and other cross-functional partners to ensure the quality, discoverability, and accuracy of the content you create and develop
  • Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders in cross-functional meetings, highlighting operational risks and flagging concerns
  • Prioritize content development based on usage and goal-driven metrics, to ensure successful results in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Library Sciences, Computer Science, English, or related areas
  • 4+ years of experience authoring technical documentation for an engineering audience
  • 3+ years of proven experience in managing knowledge assets in knowledge management or content management systems like Microsoft SharePoint, Bloomfire, OpenText, etc.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across multiple teams
  • Knowledge and application of standards, procedures and practices used for information and content lifecycle management
  • Experience to effectively document processes and business flows using diagramming solutions such as Visio, Lucidchart, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates user centricity in designing and developing content management and access strategies.
  • Understanding of industry standard information classification schemes.
  • Demonstrated experience to determine what knowledge is worth capturing and in what form.
