Meta is looking for an AI policy expert Privacy and Data Policy Manager with experience analyzing legislation, as well as policy and regulatory trends, developing legislative strategy, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including product and Legal teams to join our global Privacy & Data Policy team. The team's mission is to develop privacy-protective and innovative approaches to data that help bring the world closer together and improve people's lives. The ideal candidate for this role has significant experience analyzing US State and Federal legislation and discerning and presenting policy trends. They should also have strong drafting skills, particularly in drafting succinct analyses for internal audiences, as well as persuasive public submissions to industry groups, policymakers, and regulators. They should be a creative thinker who is interested in developing novel approaches to challenges at the intersection of technology and policy. They should also have good instincts about effective ways to present policy proposals and create support among various audiences, internally and externally. A strong candidate will be familiar with AI, privacy and data protection, and how they relate to regulatory and legislative developments across the globe. You should be a self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem solver who is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of and familiarity with the stakeholders and perspectives in the AI community and be able to use your knowledge to promote the responsible building of AI in Meta’s products and services, and drive improvements across the industry.
