In Meta’s Reality Labs we are investing in the future of work, building tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere, with collaborative experiences that bridge between the real world and the metaverse. As an Electronic Engineer in the Portal for Work Hardware organisation, you will join a growing team who are working on new products and concepts to make video conferencing more accessible to companies of any size, through hardware and software innovations, as we move into the metaverse, whether in the corporate or home office. We aim to bring together the brightest cross-disciplinary minds in one place to deliver on our mission. You will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for future experiences, in collaboration with internal teams and external design partners around the world. You will work cross-functionally with teams that will dynamically change depending on the problem and potentially include mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and research experts. We want people who work well in teams, can take a high level concept or idea and turn it into reality. Demonstrate its technical viability and transition it into products that can go into high volume manufacturing for businesses and consumers. We’re looking for system or board level Electronic Engineers with experience in business/Enterprise or high volume consumer products. Designing with custom ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, audio, camera sensors, wireless and high speed I/O. Familiarity with CAD tools like Cadence OrCAD, SPICE, ModelSim or Matlab, is required. The ideal candidate would be comfortable designing mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, be experienced troubleshooting at the board and system level, and be familiar with electronic product development processes.
