The Operations Program Manager assumes responsibility as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for their program and will be the primary Operations interface to the core product development teams and other functional organizations within FRL. The OPM must have a strong understanding of product development, manufacturing and supply chain processes, and can apply them to lead Ops functions to execute a program from Concept through Launch. The OPM must have strong interpersonal and communication skills along with a solid understanding of cross-functional interconnectedness and deliverables to enable the realization of complex consumer products. Given the nature of the role, the candidate should have demonstrated experience working in an XFN-interconnected environment to deliver programs successfully. The OPM must have a good technical understanding of their products and have the experience influencing key program decisions in order to meet Operations KPIs and targets. The OPM will own their program from early architecture through program launch, bringing an operational mindset to product development. The OPM will also own all Operational aspects of the program including: Build Readiness and Execution, Factory Management, Capacity/Ramp Planning, Supplier Development among other operations activities.
Technical Operations Program Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities
  • Partner with the XFN team in the Devices organization to execute our product vision and successfully launch quality products to the market, on time and within budget targets
  • Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Technical Program Managers to define Key Performance Indicators and Product Requirement Documents to enable successful architecture and design locks and according to the PDP timeline
  • Assume overall ownership of product cost and use your technical expertise to drive the engineering and supply chain teams to meet program cost targets at a product and commodity level
  • Drive operational (internal and external partners) engagement, from partner selection, operations optimization in support of product objectives requirements
  • Drive the Operations teams towards factory readiness to support NPI builds and mass production (line layout, automation, capacity, CapEx, etc.)
  • Drive the Operations team to ensure that our partners’ security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are in place
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Operations Program Management or Operations Management in Supply Chain Operations or New Product Introduction (NPI) roles in hardware technology products
  • Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple work threads to maximize impact
  • Knowledge of Operations and Supply Chain with demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Experience working with partnerships teams and external partners at both a supply base and product level
  • Cross-functional organizational leadership experience
  • Experience in mass production both domestic and overseas
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in leading development/delivery of multiple high-volume high-tech products, managing JDM’s with different models of engagement
  • Business acumen on product cost, operational cost management
  • Experience building 0->1 products, platform/ecosystem products, or marketplaces
  • Experience with new technology or product investments (NTI / NPI)

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
