Meta is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position on our global Corporate Accounting team, based in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be a top academic performer with multinational experience in the area of financial accounting / reporting. Corporate Accountant (Dublin) Responsibilities
  • Work within a Corporate Accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and BS)
  • Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close
  • Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle
  • Coordinate and review the work of our outsourced partners
  • Oversee US GAAP month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Partner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems & controls
  • Lead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools
  • Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teams
  • Create strong business partnerships and manage service levels with third party service providers
Minimum Qualifications
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Relevant industry PQE with large, fast-growing, multinational company
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and SOX (IFRS and local GAAP is also desirable)
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (experience with Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Essbase is an advantage)
  • Team player and leader who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations
  • Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the 'big picture' and the importance of risk mitigation and a strong controls environment
  • Organised and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
