The Financial Planning & Analysis team manages Meta’s entire budget of revenue and expense. We focus on using our unique view into ‘the numbers’ to see trends and opportunities that are developing within Meta and within related industries. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. Meta is seeking an individual to work in a high-performing team, helping support the engineering and cross-functional teams in managing their team’s operating budgets and headcount. The Foundation team supports the design, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and de-manufacturing of Meta’s server fleet. This includes functions like Sourcing Operations & Engineering (SOE), Technical Program Management (TPM), Hardware Engineering, Technology Strategy, Capacity Analysis & Engineering (CEA), Infra Data Science (IDS) and several others.
Finance Analyst, Foundation & Infrastructure Engineering Responsibilities
  • Create strong business partnerships with business partners across Foundation and Infra Engineering teams
  • Support process management across Foundation, Infra Engineering & Fleet Ops planning for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
  • Support the monthly close process, working with a Center of Excellence team & Accounting, and ensure consolidations & commentary are completed across the team
  • Work on the annual headcount planning process, collaborating with a central allocations team, HR, Recruiting, and Mission Control (People Ops)
  • Deep dive into investments and develop actionable insights that will influence key decision makers to manage resource needs
  • Collaborate with business partners to plan and handle unforeseen resourcing needs via a budget management and contingency process
  • Work with the Fleet Analytics team to develop long-range driver-based models for Foundation related OpEx
  • Help business partners gain key insights into spend through analyses and reporting
  • Drive process improvements (including automation) by partnering with up-stream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to financial management
  • Own the budget and forecast process for both OpEx and headcount planning, with a disciplined and collaborative approach to both
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and infrastructure technology concepts
  • Experience with developing forecasts, tracking actuals and variance, and easily draft understandable narratives around financial data
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships and partnering with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, Oracle, SQL and Hyperion
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in finance, business operations, or strategy consulting
  • Experience as a finance partner to Engineering leaders
  • Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities, and completing tasks on time
  • Excels in navigating through ambiguity and unstructured problems
