A team built of marketing analysts, statisticians and data science professionals, we partner directly with agencies and advertisers to help them understand and uncover marketing effectiveness and data insights that drive value for their businesses. The Director of Marketing Science for Agency & Global Accounts is a leadership position within the Meta EMEA Marketing Science team. This person will work with internal and external stakeholders to advise Agencies and global clients as well as influence the marketing industry across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will lead and manage a growing team of Marketing Science Partners across EMEA geographies to drive Meta preferred measurement methods and best practice, whilst encouraging first party, open source and third-party product adoption at scale. This person will be comfortable talking about a combination of techniques and measurement and effectiveness strategies that drive insights and business value for Agencies and Global clients. Based in the UK, travel is required throughout EMEA (mainly but not limited to DE, FR, NL, PL, SW) , as well as to the US. Post Covid assumption 15%-20% of time.
Director of Marketing Science Agency & Global Accounts, EMEA Responsibilities
  • Lead with a passion for marketing analytics, critical thinking skills and the ability to build deep relationships at senior marketing and other C-level roles. An ambition to transform the industry is also key
  • Successfully influence how clients conduct and use measurement and work cross-functionally with agencies, advertisers, sales teams, and other members of the global Marketing Science team
  • Work closely with Product, R&D and Partnerships teams to develop or pilot new methodologies
  • Manage a team of high performing Marketing Science Partners
  • Engage with the broader industry ecosystem: advising on and executing against the strategy for industry bodies with the aim of accelerating good measurement practice at a country and regional level, and presenting thought leadership to the industry at large
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience and familiarity with advertising measurement methods and technologies with specific experience in EMEA
  • Experience in working with or at Media Agencies, understanding of the process and tools of media planning and buying
  • Demonstrated leadership skills at an industry level and with leadership teams within clients alongside demonstrable team management skills. International experience is desirable but not essential, but experience of the UK market is a requirement
  • Experience in advertising across all media, with an emphasis on digital and adtech, attribution, MMM, with a strong understanding of Privacy
  • Experience in using data and analytics to develop insights for marketing strategy
  • Interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical content to general audience and effectively at all levels of a client organisation
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with industry bodies at a leadership level
  • Experience in managing and developing specialist and analytical talent as well as the development of business and operational strategy and prioritisation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA desirable but not critical
