Meta is looking for an experienced Consumer Communications Manager for our consumer public relations programs in CEE (Central & Eastern Europe). The successful candidate has strong consumer media contact, both in print and broadcast as well as consumer special interest and tech press outlets. This role offers to demonstrate creative, strategic and executional excellence. You will work closely with Meta’s team members across the communications organisation, our strategic partnership and content teams to amplify proactive press campaigns and others. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally with teams across the board, lead proactive and reactive communications programs with tangible results and to define strategy and have impact for meaningful projects in our community. This person will also work on consumer campaigns – i.e. cultural moments, source and publish stories of people on Meta and will work especially on consumer-facing products focused on innovation and building the Metaverse. This role requires excellent communication and writing skills in English, as well as the ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is capable of articulating complex issues in an easy-to-digest manner and has a passion for creating new projects and building relationships with diverse constituents. Strong organisational and management skills are both key to success in this role. This is a full-time position based in Warsaw.
Consumer Communications Manager, CEE Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, platform, policy, on individual media opportunities and broader programs
  • Develop strategies and own day-to-day execution for public relations programs and campaigns - corporate and online marketing oriented
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various Meta teams and external agencies to drive proactive campaigns in a fast-paced environment
  • Become a key part of the CEE comms team so that we increase our understanding of the business agenda, products and priorities
  • Inform press, bloggers and influencers about core Meta products and initiatives
  • Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople
  • Organise press briefings, media sessions and events
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of Meta and its products
  • Manage our owned channels and develop strategies
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Post graduate or professional degrees are a plus
  • Extensive professional experience in consumer communications, agency and/or in-house
  • Strong track record in social media projects
  • Deep media relationships in key markets in CEE region
  • Ability to manage a broad range of both proactive and reactive projects
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills
  • Experience in managing PR agencies and contractors
  • Deep understanding and passion for Meta
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Superb English verbal and written communications skills
