Meta RL (Reality Labs) EMEA Retail is looking for an experienced Account Manager. The position will primarily involve developing and managing retail channel partners for VR products, creating and implementing partner specific business plans, negotiating pricing and promotions, monitoring competitor activity and supporting marketing initiatives that deliver sales growth. The candidate will have the ability to effectively influence data and communicate cross-functionally at all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the sales, product management, category, channel marketing, demand planning, channel ops, legal and distribution teams to develop new ways we can improve the purchase experience for customers.
Strategic Account Manager VR Southern Europe Responsibilities
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders & maintain account plans and build close working relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace.
  • Define and manage an annual business plan with retail partners for all of Meta Quest VR hardware in the territory and partners. This encompassing, but not limited to, clearly defining best retailer coverage, sales target, resource allocations, in-store POS planning, BTL marketing activity, and planned investments from retail partners.
  • Own all inventory planning with forecast management.
  • Review Sell in / Out data to identify new opportunities within existing product ranges. Seek out data, provide insights & deliver foresight that drives growth of Meta Quest VR products.
  • Plan all new product launches in collaboration with sales, channel marketing, category, marketing, business operations and deliver clear and concise communication of plan to partners.
  • Partner with cross functional peers to optimise merchandising, marketing investments, customer experience, deliver clear stock plan and supporting partners growth plan.
  • Responsible for driving sales and daily account management activities with key partners.
  • Develop in conjunction with Channel Marketing a defined Channel Marketing, Merchandising and Product Training plan.
  • Execute and manage commercial strategies.
  • Work closely with operations to implement and execute a CPFR process with retail and internal business partners
  • Drive teams internally to meet the needs and requirements of the customer.
  • Achieve monthly / quarterly / annual targets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business or Marketing related field (In lieu of degree, 7+ years of relevant work experience).
  • 7+ or more years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development within retail in technology sector
  • Experience in negotiating in operator, retail & distribution agreements
  • Analytical skills & the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all stakeholders
  • Proven track record of success in delivery of sales quotas against business plans
  • Knowledge of Southern Europe markets, industry trends, market conditions & competitive landscape
  • Fluency in English, Spanish and French essential
Preferred Qualifications
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Fluency in Italian
  • P&L Management for hardware or content sales is preferred
  • Program management experience in a retail, consumer products or consumer technology
  • Sales or operations experience in consumer hardware, technology or similar product verticals
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills - excel at analysis to inform strategy development
  • Experience in FMCG highly desirable
