Data Center Infrastructure Services Manager
Meta is seeking a leader who will drive excellence in engineering, analytics, and operations to ensure successful delivery and performance of our production infrastructure. Strategic thinking, technical depth, and proven business acumen are essential in this role. Depth and breadth of knowledge managing large operations with a strong emphasis on supporting people and culture are core competencies of this individual. The Infrastructure Services Manager is expected to have a strong track record in roles requiring operations, technical, and project management excellence, and could be called upon to lead large, complex, cross-functional initiatives across our global data center fleet. These initiatives will require strong business and enterprise leadership skills, the ability to use data to develop strategies, and demonstrated impact. This person will also be responsible for leading a team of site-wide resources at their data center location.
Data Center Infrastructure Services Manager Responsibilities
  • Provide people management and leadership to the people, office, and project support team for your data center site
  • Become an expert in Meta's infrastructure, including platforms, tools, systems, architecture, workflows, and performance
  • Champion and support innovation, including adopting new technologies, piloting new designs and means of delivery, and advancing best practices locally and globally
  • Develop strategies for, and successfully deliver, complex cross-functional global initiatives as required
  • Develop industry-leading, world-class operations through continuous improvement and business reviews and tools that provide deep visibility into the health of the business and enable data driven decision making
  • Drive data analytics, metrics, and interpretation of a complex environment to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, exceptions, and correlations, and proactively respond before they impact the business
  • Challenge and guide a world-class technical operations team, delivering operational performance and engineering insights and tools, to manage a hyperscale server footprint
  • Provide leadership and business continuity for management roles locally and globally based on changing business demands
  • Work with peer organizations and regional teams that affect and deliver services to data center operations such as network operations, facilities/maintenance management, logistics, hardware design, automated tooling, and supply chain operations to successfully maximize technical, operations, and business performance
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or BA in a technical field, or commensurate experience
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in a mature engineering or operations environment
  • Experience in large-scale planning and coordination, with experiencing delivering multiple concurrent projects on timelines
  • Problem-solving aptitude and advanced knowledge of lean operational methodologies to distill operational data, develop an intentional data-driven strategy, and drive resulting global impact
  • Effective communication skills using English as the primary business language, with experience communicating internally across disciplines and organizations at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of enterprise level infrastructure
  • Experience mentoring and leading project management professionals
