Developer Communications Manager, Reality Labs
We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to drive awareness and excitement for the products and features being built for Quest developers to help increase their success on the platform. This person will work to educate and excite the developer community about the new tools being built for them and the potential of VR by working with our internal product teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about developer communications, a strong communicator, has great relationships with tech, games, and developer media, and excels at working across multiple internal and external teams simultaneously. Experience working with developers, publishing teams, and external gaming and/or tech partners is crucial. This individual should have a track record of building developer communities, creating developer facing materials, and working with partners on announcements and activations. A strong skill set of anticipating, assessing, and getting ahead of developer issues is invaluable. This person should also have an appreciation of the Quest community as well as a passion for VR and technology.
Developer Communications Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and execution of communications plans that drive excitement around new products and features for developers
  • Create blog posts, pitches, and other creative materials that will excite the broader developer community
  • Develop strong relationships with gaming and developer partners and press
  • Work with product and technology leaders within the company to communicate
  • Support the teams building developer tools at industry events
  • Organize press events, prepare spokespeople, and create briefing materials
  • Work with international teams on global campaigns
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 5+ years Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or relevant experience
  • Proven communicator with written and verbal skills
  • Experience thriving in a fast and constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with media relations across tech, gaming and developer publications
