Reality Labs is looking for a highly talented General Manager (GM) focused on Meta’s consumer hardware at our retail partners. Reporting to the Director of EMEA Retail Sales, this role will lead all Account related sales activity for this strategic partnerships across multiple product lines. This is a leadership role managing the UK and Nordic region. The candidate will possess leadership and analytical skills as well as have the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross functionally with all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to optimize the opportunity at the retail partner.
Northern Europe Retail: General Manager Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage RL business activities with top tier retail partners, implementing effective strategy and programs to meet organization goals
  • Lead, recruit, develop and manage a team of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) to support sales activities across product lines (Oculus) and meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets. Candidate will also lead direction for cross functional account team members (dotted line)
  • Develop and maintain executive account relationships leading Top to Top planning discussions
  • Create and present account strategy to executives and internal / external stakeholders to align resources and achieve mutual goals
  • Negotiate and present account programs / contracts, gaining internal alignment and approvals with cross functional partners (finance, legal, operations, etc)
  • Build and grow relationships with cross functional leaders (Channel Operations, Sales Enablement, Sales Analytics, Category) to drive account goals
  • Lead & execute JBP process, QBRs and launch planning activities to meet sales objectives within agreed upon budgets and KPIs
  • Manage account scorecard, allocate budget, identify opportunities for optimization and growth
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in a senior sales role with a clear record of quota achievement and success in technology based consumer sales
  • 10+ years of consumer sales leadership and people management experience
  • Experience working on VR/Gaming products
  • Previous experience and clear understanding of the European retail landscape
  • Track record of excellence in both business planning and tactical execution, with a clear understanding of the various tools available to drive retail sales
  • Experience in go-to-market planning and execution across online and traditional retail channels
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a strong business acumen
  • Passionate advocate for innovation and the opportunities presented by disruptive technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
