Functional Business Analytics Partners drive recruiting through the lens of business data by empowering Recruiting leaders to integrate data into daily decisions and planning. In this role, you will partner with managers across one of our recruiting functions to identify, influence, and enact tactical recruiting action building and planning. This role will perform research and conduct analyses on a broad spectrum of recruiting issues, with the focus on how we efficiently meet the company’s hiring objectives through our recruiting teams and supporting functions. An example of this work is using macro hiring progress data to isolate potential issues at the micro team level, and to then work with those teams and the data to develop proactive actions. The ideal candidate will have strong consultative, communication, analytical, data/dashboard building, and storytelling skills and will thrive managing concurrent projects while working with a cross-functional team to drive outcomes. We are looking for someone who enjoys building, figuring out the best way to achieve results, and working closely with a diverse set of teams and partners to make impact! We need someone who enjoys creating clarity in ambiguity and who uses creativity to combat challenges.
Functional Business Analytics Partner Responsibilities
  • Connect global data and strategies to functional data to create team-specific analytics and reporting.
  • Identify the mapping of hiring targets that each recruiting team is responsible for delivering to the business and provide recruiting managers actionable insights related to their progress to target.
  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to managers in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams, such as the Recruiting Insights team.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and create actionable recommendations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs.
  • Deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify the right actions.
  • Leverage tools, such as SQL, Tableau and Excel to build and drive analytics and to enable client self-service on routine queries, as well as to design/run/deliver ongoing reporting and dashboards.
  • Contribute to cross-team QA efforts on key analytical products shared with the business to ensure overall accuracy in the numbers and Exec readiness.
  • Help foster a data-driven Recruiting organization through occasional workshops, open office hours, and team-wide capability building efforts to strengthen Recruiting’s use and comfort on self-service dashboards and highlight opportunities for stronger self-service solutions through proactive feedback to our solutions partners.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS with 5+ years (or MBA/MA/MS with 4+ years) of consulting or corporate work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting data.
  • Experience in at least one of these fields: management consulting, sales operations, finance, or human resources.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics and knowledge of statistical significance).
  • Project management experience with multiple stakeholders prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and experience in conveying key findings through action-oriented “so what” narratives.
  • Working experience with SQL.
  • Experience building dashboards using advanced Tableau functionality (e.g. data blending) or equivalent tool.
  • Experience with Excel or equivalent (i.e. creating and modifying complex formulas, pivots, macros, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics).
  • Experience in HR analytics using HR systems and tools such as Workday, Visier, Salesforce etc.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under pressure.
  • Advanced experience with SQL.
