Research Engineer Responsibilities
  • Develop highly scalable algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network methodologies
  • Design software experiments and prototypes at the frontier of artificial intelligence research
  • Apply expert coding skills to platform development projects in partnership with other engineers
  • Collaborate with scientists to facilitate research in the machine learning of the semantics of data
  • Combine knowledge of relevant research domains with the ability to synthesize a wide range of requirements to contribute to the feature roadmap for the applied machine learning platform
  • Adapt machine learning and neural network algorithms and architectures to best exploit modern parallel environments and to best predict and measure outcome
  • Build deep expertise with Facebook data and tools
  • Help push forward the understanding and performance of learning and intelligent systems
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Vision or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 24 months involving the following:
  • Coding skills in: C++, Java, JavaScript, or PHP
  • Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth
  • Developing and executing joint roadmaps
  • Execute innovative engineering development to advance the state-of-the-art in machine perception, sensor/display calibration, state estimation, or relocalization in AR/VR systems
  • Develop and prototype advanced tightly integrated hardware and software technologies in the domain of tracking, 3D reconstruction, localization, SfM, or calibration automation
  • Prototyping and deploying products
