Offensive Security Engineer Responsibilities
  • Document and model our infrastructure from an attacker’s perspective
  • Build tooling to automate this and use this model to inform and drive our assessments
  • Perform scoped and open-ended assessments on internal and external facing systems
  • Perform research to identify new ways of achieving your mission, with an emphasis of open-sourcing wherever possible
  • Help drive remediation to cover up any gaps in detection and prevention to protect Meta’s digital assets and user data
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 24 months in each of the following skills and technologies:
  • Attacking surfaces for enterprise systems and services
  • Building tooling to automate and drive assessments
  • Performing packet analysis, network forensics, configuring, supporting and maintaining Network Tech
  • Detecting, analyzing, and responding to external threats adversaries
  • Working with SIEM infrastructure and state of the art defensive technologies, including Splunk, Suricata, Zeek, Sysmon, and EDRs
  • Designing, scoping and leading projects to accomplish pre-stated objectives in or against large scale and geographically dispersed networks, systems, and services
  • Searching for gaps in infrastructure, including proactively identifying gaps in detection and signal logic
  • Incorporating Threat Intelligence research to track APT trends in projects to test environments against new and emerging threats
