Meta is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join its Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) organization, focused on making significant advances in out-of-distribution generalization of foundation models. We publish groundbreaking papers and release frameworks/libraries that are widely used in the open-source community. Recent examples include the LLaMa family of Large Language Models (LLMs) and tool-augmented language models. We seek experts in the area of out-of-distribution generalization to help understand the generalization capabilities of modern AI systems and build new architectures and frameworks that achieve the next frontier of generalization. We also collaborate with the Meta Generative AI and other organizations to push the insights at scale.
Postdoctoral Researcher (PhD) - Core Learning Responsibilities
  • Conduct research at the interface of LLMs and OOD generalization
  • Disseminate findings of research by publishing papers in high impact conferences
  • Hands-on research work, both theoretical and experimental
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics
  • Python, PyTorch
  • Track record of publishing papers in high quality journal and conferences
  • Some publications in high quality journal and conferences
  • Mathematical command of learning theory
