The Reality Labs (RL) team is looking for a Retail Technology Program Manager to design and develop high impact technologies that power the retail displays and demo devices. These programs drive trial and conversion for our Hardware at the point of sale by allowing customers to try our products. This role is responsible for executing the demo strategy of a complete product line from Meta's RL business group that are presented in all consumer facing environments including: worldwide retail and global partner events. The Japan Retail Technologies Program Manager will act as the main POC for implementing Retail Demo and Display Technologies in APAC market, to operate cross-functionally and manage the strategic design, planning and execution of demos from prototype to End of Life. The person will manage and interface with internal and external engineering resources, third party technical partners, content creators and channel marketing teams across RL organization.
Retail Technology Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Develop demo requirements for RL retail demo devices and lead the deployment of the product’s retail launch in region.
  • Develop demo technical requirements for retail display partners in-region.
  • Create demo best practices training and documentation for developers and marketing partners.
  • Help develop and maintain scalable retail technology solutions such as content and device management systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Analytics teams to define KPIs, set program guidelines, develop/select the right analytics tool, review demo/display engagement metrics and build upon the data to improve the customer experiences.
  • Execute multiple retail demo content and software updates year-round across AR and VR.
  • Assist stakeholders in the evaluation, selection, and revision of retail demo content.
  • Partner closely with the Field sales team to understand potential issues and build tech solutions that are field friendly and support fixture tech maintenance by building troubleshooting documents.
  • Drive alignment between regional marketing teams and the core Demo team to ensure synergy with every demo install and update.
  • Partner with regional marketing to ensure demos meet the requirements and specifications of different retailers.
  • Build and track program budgets, develop RFI/RFQ documents to support with technology vendor selection, build supplier SOWs and serve as primary POC for technical vendors.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with retail technical support partners and scale the relationships accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project/product management, or equivalent.
  • Experience using bug and project tracking tools such as JIRA, Asana.
  • Experience managing conflict, addressing issues between stakeholders swiftly in order to maintain a positive team spirit that is consistent with Meta values.
  • Experience with Software development processes.
  • Experience building and maintaining project trackers for complex programs.
  • Experience with navigating various organizational environments where culture and structure varies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail devices and interactive display technologies development.
  • Experience with Hardware development process.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Approachable and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
