Meta Platform Inc. is seeking an OEM Quality Engineer responsible for developing and implementing world class manufacturing and quality processes for OEM hardware that powers the Meta social network. This is a full-time position and reports to the Manufacturing Quality Manager as part of the Sourcing and Operations Engineering team.
Manufacturing Quality Engineer, OEM Responsibilities
  • Define and manage the quality standards for key Network and Storage partners.
  • Collaborate with Backbone Network & Data Center teams to reinforce quality standards and to improve the end-to-end process.
  • Own multiple sustaining Supplier quality engagements and drive continuous improvement with an emphasis on process and product quality.
  • Apply appropriate Quality Engineering tools and Methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, FMEA, RCA, FA) to support innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Carry out supplier audits of manufacturing facilities, identify gaps and drive action planning and resolution.
  • Own Supplier product change notifications, PCNs and drive all PCN related activities.
  • Work with product lifecycle tools to create BOMs, approve engineering change notifications, drive quality excursions.
  • Collaborate with commodity Managers and Network engineers to determine Meta’s infrastructure needs and product specifications during NPI phase of the OEM products.
  • Collaborate with analytics team to develop Supplier dashboards supporting product operations and encompassing quality, performance and optimization.
  • 10% International travel is required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in product development, manufacturing processes, and test/debug methodologies for Networking Products.
  • Detailed knowledge of network hardware architecture and technologies.
  • Demonstrated use of quality tools and methodologies in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
  • Problem solving and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product development, manufacturing processes, and test/debug methodologies for Networking Products.
  • Detailed knowledge of archival storage products.
