Business Engineer Responsibilities
  • Write scalable production-grade code across Meta’s platforms in collaboration with other product engineering teams.
  • Learn and build on different technology stacks and languages.
  • Apply software engineering skills to bring a unique blend of business and technology expertise to ensure our partners succeed.
  • Execute solutions for real-world business challenges through Meta’s platforms and community in many of today’s industries and products, including Video, Commerce, Monetization, Metaverse, Gaming, Creators, Artificial Intelligence, Messaging and more.
  • Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross-functional partners to meet business needs.
  • Will understand and apply deep knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve problems at scale.
  • Will design and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies and use a broad range of technical skills to build productive relationships with partners and independently resolve complex technical and business needs.
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with technical counterparts.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with peers and use expertise and product insight to deliver high quality project/integration/partner engagements, while influencing the product roadmap to meet the business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires three years of experience in:
  • Writing scalable, readable, and well-documented production code: C, C++, Java, Python, PHP, or C#
  • Conducting design and code reviews
  • Drive end-to-end execution of build projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Design and build large-scale distributed infrastructure applications
  • Design and complete medium to large features independently without guidance
  • Write unit and integration tests to automate testing production code as part of the deployment pipeline
  • Understanding of database systems
  • Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
  • Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and proactively networking with key stakeholders

$228,538/year to $234,630/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
