Meta is looking for a dynamic team player to serve as Lead Counsel on the Ad Sales Legal team. This role will provide strategic legal support to Meta's Global Business Group and Small Business Group Americas sales teams. This is a great opportunity to work on novel issues in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
Lead Counsel, Meta Business Group Responsibilities
  • Serve as a frontline legal advisor to the Americas Sales teams (North America and Latin America) supporting large and small advertisers leveraging Meta's suite of advertising and business tools.
  • Develop scalable resources, trainings, and guidance to address frequent inquiries on legal, regulatory, compliance and policy topics and concerns from Sales and advertiser inquiries.
  • Analyze product terms, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions in the Americas.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support Sales and advertiser communications and go-to-market launches.
  • Coordinate with Legal teams across Privacy, Competition, Regulatory, Litigation, Compliance, Integrity and Employment in support of Global Business Group and Small Business Group goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney (including at a law firm or in-house experience)
  • Knowledge of legal frameworks that apply to data-driven advertising, including as it relates to regulated and restricted goods.
  • Experience advising on legal and regulatory issues (including privacy) that apply to online advertising, mobile platforms, social networking, or other technologies
  • Experience with managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with mobile application development, software development, machine learning, or other internet technologies
  • Prior in-house experience
  • Experience of advancing simultaneous projects in a multi-stakeholder, fast-pace environment
  • Experience collaborating at all levels of the business including executive and C-suite

$167,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
